I do have one too, I heard ICS is coming to Amaze on Q1 2012, I'm not sure if is fake or true but xboarder56 from XDA is building ICS from AOSP style :D Google it you will be surprise ;)

For now I am sticking to the stock ROM on my Amaze, its fast and I have no complaints. Besides you can theme the heck outta sense so I'm happy  :D

i got the phone on sunday as well (jan 8), rooted and put revolution HD on it. i thought id miss the keyboard but i dont. on screen keyboard is so big in landscape it doesnt matter and with its responsiveness its too good lol battery life i will miss tho, CM as well

I have it rooted, and i use beastmod or fourth bar sense. I just want a AOSP rom, i got soooo tired of sense. and BeastMod gets me closest, but i love the way ICS looks.

I FINALLY got a good deal from T-Mo. Got 2 phones, Amaze & SGSII and only paid the taxes. No downpayment! They took care of that but I have to pay and extra $35/month for 20months :/

Lol...they're not but I didn't want to fork over $200 for each phone PLUS charging me an additional $20 and $15 on top of my monthly bill....So saving $400+ is good for me. ;)

My Amaze isn't rooted yet. But the word on xda is that some people are getting ICS as testers. Do you think I should root before I update...I don't want to have problems with not being able to get root if/when the update is put out. Dilemma.

you could root your phone if you wanted to, i mean the only thing out right now is really bulletproof which is pretty cool i guess. You do have all the benefits of being rooted. If you root right now you could always unroot, and you could always downgrade your software and gain root again. they are working on a asop ice cream sandwhich rom, so ICS, and its asop dang <3  

Xda has too much drama...too many trolls..for the Amaze Section. The Roms by xboarder have been locked...ICS development is under wraps...hopefully an RUU will be available soon. I wish the Amaze had developers like the Cliq...it's ridiculous over there.

What i would do is get root, then use SuperCurio's OTA Root keeper, basically what it does is keep your root even after an OTA :) It may or may not work on Amaze though as I haven't seen anybody post about using it. If I were you i'd check if it works on going from a older RUU to a newer one, but the problem i find is that the OTA may wipe /system which will be an issue for OTA Root Keeper... I'm not sure

Thanks...haven't heard about that. Will give it a go. I have to unlock my bootloader to obtain root for the Amaze. I'm using my Cliq right now just so I won't get throttled..its kinda hard to not go over 5G nowadays.

Ok..I figured as much.

I need help unlocking my bootloader. Its not getting my identifier token...I know I'm doing everything correct. Maybe I have an outdated SDK...or outdated SDK files..

Nvm....I got it all done..I should've made a backup of my stock first but whatever..

@Double0EK I saw that on XDA too with the trolls and xboarder leaving... if we can just figure out where he went... I still have my Amaze with it's stock ROM and it isn't rooted. I had everything outdated too... guess sdk had a lot of updates lol. Anyhow how is yours running now with the root? 

Don't put too much trust with xboarder. I've talked to him before, even helped him and he's cool and everything but if he doesn't like something he'll just drop everything and leave. For example, apparently with sensation Cyanogenmod didn't like that he was kanging them. IDK what happened but I heard that that's why he left O.o 

@rachelm920 my phone is running NRGZ Rom. It's a good Sense 3.0 ROM using a stock kernel. I've gotten my first 16 hrs with my factory battery .. I also attempted my first lockscreen theme. Did the Filipino Sun. It's posted in the Amaze Theme Lockscreen Thread. Are you gonna put out a theme for this phone? You should try AmazingSense by CypiS It's incorporated in the NRG Rom.

@JassyCliq ya I seen that he posted that. I haven't been on his site. I'm gonna use NRGZ Rom for now until we get ICS. This phones development kinda sucks.

Yes, its quite sad... Xboarder is really our own dev :( I hope he doesn't leave the Amaze.
Maybe we can get @ngiordano on the Amaze? :P

Well.. I've noticed after running this for a few days that I keep losing 4G. Never happened on the stock ROM and I know I'm in a good service area. 

You need the 5gb internet to get it for free ;) plus it would be a rebate that would come in 5-8 weeks :) id still pissed :)
