was the Motorola Cliq a high-end phone when it first came out?

I guess, at the time I got my Cliq, the Nexus One came out. Cliq was $99 with 2yr contract...

When I bought my Cliq in March 2010 it was the highest rated T-mobile phone per CNET.com. I looked at other smart phones in the T-mobile store at the time and I wasn't impressed. Previously I had wanted a Blackberry but I didn't like how small the curve's keyboard was so I opted for the Cliq. It was my first smart phone (coming from a samsung slider phone).

no. it was a notch above the G1 both design and hardware wise, but that's about as high as it goes....
