  • bloodyshytbloodyshyt July 2011

    Looks like! has anyone benchmarked it yet to see hour it fares against cm 7?

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

    It's built from the same source. It's just plain. No cm apps. It also comes with launcher2

  • androidextandroidext July 2011

    You can add screenshots of this ROM? Is faster than CM7? Thanks.

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    I will try to run benchmarks and add screen shots in later today. The sun is coming up and I need some sleep:)

  • Congratz! ;)

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @DJGHOSTS3V3N Thank you.

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    Added some screen shots to OP.

  • Flashed it and it seems to be working great! Thanks! :)

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @the_riddler Your welcome let me know if there is anything you would like to see added

  • INACT1VEINACT1VE July 2011

    hey nice rom!!! question tho, the rom in general seems a bit laggy...any ideas on how to improve it?

    i disabled transitions, but it still seems slow (this also happened when i was running cm7 morrison RC and nightlies)

    im clocked at 729MHz

    other than that, awesome rom, i like having the barebones android setup :)

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

    It's the kernel. The cpu steps aren't working correctly. Try the new one:

    Flash it in recovery. It doesn't have 729 but 691 will give you scores in the 400's.

  • INACT1VEINACT1VE July 2011

    thanks! worked like a charm

    also, i can't quite seem to figure out how to change the notification pull-down's power buttons...does gingerbread not have that functionality?  sorry im newbish

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @inactive its in Settings>CyanogenMod>Interface>Notification power widget but I removed the CyanogenMod
    menu during build working on a fix now

  • INACT1VEINACT1VE July 2011

    cool thanks man, keep it up!

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    I have uploaded the new  version and will post new screen shots tomorrow ( I need to go to bed for at least a couple of hours
    )

    @inact1ve flash the update and you will get the CM setting back so you can adjust the power widget :)

  • INACT1VEINACT1VE July 2011

    just flashed it, brilliant job man, thanks a bunch!!! lol get some rest  :)

  • thevillianthevillian July 2011

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @thevillian I just noticed the same problem ( Some root apps work for me like Better Term while others don,t)
    I am working on a fix now.

  • thevillianthevillian July 2011

    Thanks :), other than that, I'm loving the rom. Looking forward to the fix, had to flash back to my previous rom. Thanks again :)

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @thevillian can you  flash the new version I want to make sure there are no more su issues

  • thevillianthevillian July 2011

    i see no issues with su now :)

    are you planning to add the fm radio app to this rom?

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    I am actually working on that right now.

  • thevillianthevillian July 2011

    Thanks @jaydub, I also noticed the wifi tether app isn't working, barnacle from the market works fine though... atleast for me :)

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

    @jaydub did you add wifi tether to /system/app? If so that is why it doesn't work. Set it as a seperate download for now. I'll show you how to add it to the zip. Unfortunately I can't do it now. I work tonight and tomorrow I have my brother's funeral.

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @ngiodano First my condolences. And yes I did thank you I will fix and update right now.

  • jaydubjaydub July 2011

    @thevillian if you copy to your sdcard. Delete the apk in /system/app/ folder. then reinstall from the sdcard should work I'm updateing the post now

  • tafdexttafdext July 2011

    @jaydub:
    very nice ROM, the only issue i found is with the camera usage. When I change any setting, the camera app chrashes (I know it is a known bug already solved with CM nightly 38).
    please, could You fix it asap?
    Your plain rom lovely fits my needs!

    @ngiordano:
    my condolences! :-(
