  • Hello everybody! Welcome to ProyectAOSP! We are currently in: PHASE #1 V1.0
    -------------------------------------------

    What is ProyectAOSP?:

A: ProyectAOSP is a series of ROM's which are taken from source and compiled into a certain phone, in this case I will be starting with the Motorola CLIQ/Morrison or MB200.

    -------------------------------------------

What is the goal of ProyectAOSP?:

A: Compiling from source basically ALL of the system versions available.

    -------------------------------------------

    What does phase 1 mean?:

A: It means we are on our first ROM. (2.3.4)

    -------------------------------------------

I have been hearing AOSP, what does it mean?:

    A: Android Open Source Proyect.

    -------------------------------------------

    Does this have blur?:

A: NO. No blur is including in AOSP, not now not never.

    -------------------------------------------

    What system version is this?:

A: Phase 1 relies on: 2.3.4 GingerBread. (Latest OS for phones)

    -------------------------------------------

i hope the default theme is MIUI~

    :-D

  • No, default theme is not MIUI :(

But you can flash the ROM, then the theme!! ;)

  • hwjrmrmhwjrmrm July 2011

I see~is the ginger Launcher smooth on mb200?

  • Yes, the ROM in general is very fast!!!  Way faster than CM7, since it has less apps and files into it.

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

This can also be done for the XT using the same steps used for the cliq. ;-)

Since you have the XT you can easily provide the proprietaries and they can be built side by side.

  • Its already done! This actually started with the XT, but since we have a lot of CLIQ users over here I could use more downloads.  A link to my ROM in your ROM page would be nice to help me. (That is if you want!)

PS: Get in this chat I want to talk with you:

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

I would bud but I'm on my way to work

  • Ohh ok, don't worry. Do it later, gtalk me or simply just PM me.

  • theirs no market and I can't sign in to my google account to get my contacts back

here's gapps. Flash it in recovery.

  • jjd99djjd99d July 2011

Whats working and whats not. Live Wallpapers? Sym Key? Cliq's Toggle Switch for silent? BlueTooth?

  • jjd99djjd99d July 2011

I almost forgot Camera? Camera is a Big Deal for me..

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

This is a stripped down cm7. Everything working on that works on this except the latest nightlies. This apparently will have nightlies as well

  • The volume toggle switch works on this too

  • @ngiordano Thank you ^^

@jjd99d: Let me quote something from the first post:

    What works:

-Mostly everything works, if you noticed something doesn't, post it here.

@Supamike: This is AOSP GingerBread, so you can think we basically have everything the Nexus S can do in this ROM (Power Widgets in Status Bar, swipe to delete notification, etc...) <- Ohh wait, that last one was from CM.. xDD

I hope you guys enjoy, I have been seeing a lot of people like this ROM, 4 hours since I posted this here, the download increased from 44 downloads in 2 days to 124 ^^ THANK YOU!!

  • So this is built from the Cliq's CM7's source?

  • No it is AOSP with CMSources in it.

  • Just flashed, seems good but i can't seem to install any apps from the market? all downloads are unsuccessful. any ideas? :)

  • Try redownloading and reflashing the GApps. Post back.

  • You mean it was built with this guide?

I just built using this guide. I was going to post it but this is the exact same except for added apps.

  • JassyCliqJassyCliq July 2011

Hmmm this seems cool I just noticed one thing though you guys are using my kernel… no permission, nothing… hmmmm

I've only given one person permission to use my kernel and that would be @john_2k2 and that's only on 2.1 roms. =/

    Just sayin

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

Actually your kernel is part of the source. You gave it away freely. It would be nice to get acknowledgement though

  • JassyCliqJassyCliq July 2011

Oh… jeez thanks for the support ;P

But whatev its out already =/

  • ngiordanongiordano July 2011

    Eh
It should have proper acknowledgement though. It is annoying. But to each your own.

  • Hotdog: No, its PLAIN OL AOSP, but we put CM-Sources, we didn't compile via CM.

  • I mentioned it over at M3, but as always, majority credits go to the maintainers of the CM device repos (In this case Team Rogue). I always try to be particular about the credits, and Turl (for the Cliq XT) and Team Rogue (for the Cliq) are the ones who make this possible.

  • Ngiordano Kinda lost in your posts, I am in my mobile and some of your posts say null.

  • JassyCliqJassyCliq July 2011

@phoenix so is this aosp or cm source? Cause it seems as if your partner is a lil confused...

  • @JassyCliq The current device trees do not compile as AOSP, so right now this is a stripped down CM.

My goal, with each update, is to remove a little bit more CM and replace it with AOSP, till (eventually) we will have a full AOSP ROM. This will take a while since large portions of the CM source are dependent on other portions of the CM source.

  • JassyCliqJassyCliq July 2011

    Coolio
Just sayin if you want that might as well start with aosp and add the fixes from there. You are playing with source so it'll just be easier that way… =) your rom though
