TMonews posted some steps on how to clear up data issues on the sensation. I tried them out, though I didn't need it, and did find improvement in the time it took me to connect to data as a result. Here they are in case anyone wants to user it.
First, update your sim card to a new one if your card is over one year old or your card originally came from a BlackBerry. (if BB, also make sure your data plan correctly update to the android plan).
Next, time to use ussid!
1. dial *#*#4636#*#*
2. Go to phone information
3. Toggle ciphering so it's off
4. Turn off radio
5. Turn on radio
6. Toggle ciphering back on
You can safely use this at any time. Great when the phone hasn't switched towers correctly too.
What is the difference with sim cards? Not the bb one, but over a year old.
Proper authentication for priority 4G and the initial time to auth and connect with towers cut down. Better still though, is the support for tmo's latest tower tech. Been having a hard time hooking data on T-Mobile? There's the likely culprit :)
Damn! Thanks homie :)
No problem! Enjoy!
