CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC0 Gingerbread ROM.

Also known as CM4Morrison 7.1.0

Thank you @Turl for all his work on his build for the XT. His continued work made this possible. Stop over to M3 and give him a thanks. He helped tremendously. "TEAM ROGUE" @JassyCliq, @csolanol, @dwagner and I put this together so that Cliq/Dext users could get to experience CM7. Thanks to @Firesnatch for his camera fix. Thanks to @Br3ttu @1madfitter @handlerexploit @toxigenicpoem @sudoadam @adlx @j_r0dd and many others for there input and help

What works:

CPU scaling in CM settings. (Smartass, lag free,interactive governors added. OCed to 768 Mhz) Thanks@Jassycliq

Bluetooth (No need to toggle mute on/off)(To play music effortlessly through Bluetooth download BTmono from Market)

Camera (Now with zoom! Usaable from 3M and lower resolution to use.)

USB (If you have trouble syncing SD Card to PC. Unplug cable and plug it back in)

Standard definition video (HD video not working on all videos. This is common for the Cliq. Youtube uses a higher res. video that the Cliq does not support. But standard looks amazing!)
Pretty much everything CM4Morrison had working. Also this is OCed. Just install SetCPU. 528 Mhz by default for those who don't wan't or can't OC.

Please follow the instructions carefully:

SD card install

Now included in the ROM is a super wipe patch to help reduce issues.
Download and place the zip on the root of your SD card.
Boot into your favorite recovery
DO NOT WIPE DATA/CACHE. NO NEED FOR WIPE PATCH
Select your zip from the SD card
And install...Doop-da-doo-da-doop...aAh there we go!
Reboot

OR

Rom Manager install

Download Rom Manager from the market
Flash recovery (You need 2.5.1.2 to work properly)
After the notification of completion, Select Download Rom>TeamRogue>latest build
After it is done downloading a window will pop up. Dalvik will be checked, leave it.
DO NOT PUT A CHECK NEXT TO WIPE DATA/CACHE
If you do it will be stuck at the Android screen.
Everything else will be automated.
When finished it will reboot

Please Donate!

Log in using Setup Wizard. You'll get a check-list to download some of the important apps.

(Setup Wizard will loop back to android after setup. press the home button and launchers should show.)

Let it fully boot. Give it a good 5-10 minutes before proceeding.

Please enable CMStats. The little icon in the upper left corner. It's anonymous. With enough use I can get support from the Cyanogen Team!

Install the launcher of your choice if you like.

Go into /settings/cyanogenmod settings/performance and disable compcache

Put a check by "Lock home in memory.

Some say to keep surface ditherin disabled. I enable mine. I don't like the gradient banding. I haven't found it to impact performance much.

Set your CPU governor the way you like.

Reboot so that it could finish installing.

Using Titanium Backup? Do not restore system settings. It will break things like WiFi.

Calibrate your battery. Download and install this app: http://www.mediafire.com/?5wib3m3afp2hem1 Charge your battery to 100% and press the calibration button in the app. To simplify things. :-)

Everyone using the previous version, it is definitely recommended to switch. The fixes are not just in the kernel. The whole ROM has been overhauled. Battery is great and other fixes, including Bluetooth, performance other small fixes, have been built into the ROM.

Be sure to tell all your friends about simply-android.com. If they have an android phone this is the place for them. We love trying to answer questions about Android.

Don't forget to donate to the site. A lot of time and effort goes into building it.

To fix keyboard light issue:

Leave automatic brightness enabled

Go to settings>cyanogenmod settings>display>automatic backlight. Put a check next to "Use Custom".

Select "Edit other levels"

Set it up like this:

I use 50's under screen because it is comfortable. If you would like it brighter Increase the values. Decrease if you want it dimmer

Themes

Here's a great HoneyComb theme. Download the theme chooser version. Install the apk. Open theme chooser and select HoneyComb. If you get a pop-up warning just allow it. http://zdunex25.mywpm.com/android/#honeycomb

It is deodexed...well /system/app/ is. I was getting 400's in quadrant.

love the fact there is only 1 thing in the not working section! dont think i've ever seen that before haha

i flashed the old fashioned way and seemed to work no problem and didnt even have to go online to get all my apps and stuff back coz it already has "my backup root!" been running for a few days now and had no problem at all not even 1 force close or lag...hope u all get the same results and try not to be to harsh to @ngiordano hes doing more than he should and this is only his hobby! (love u dude!)

So this 7.1.0 is deodexed? But the one previously on ROM Manager was odexed?? Just kinda confused..

The Framework is still odexed. I had trouble deodexing it. But /system/app/ is deodexed

I also added /data/app/ folder to the zip to install the 3rd party apps directly to /data/

in OP u state that camera(gots zoom) but i installed (well technically flashed) this rom and i can only zoom in camcorder.. is anyone else getting that also? let me know if not maybe a bad flash? but i know i did super duper wipe + wipe all :( ..let me know. ThANKS FOR VIEWING!

ps: is this the exact same rom u posted on the other thread? or is this new thread with some updates and fixes? let us know. THANKS!

I gave two methods of install.

The SD card method can be use with either J_r0dd's or ClockworMod...you choose.

We have a great lead on the SYM key. But it will take another few hours of compiling. If it works great. But if it fails it needs to be edited and then another few hours.
